*** Dressing & Addressing (^o^) ***

** Dressing **
Being a little gal... I luv to watch Mummy dress up and most of the time will observe closely how she do it too. She has a little black pouch which i wanted to explore so badly hehe. One day, without her noticing, i managed to lay my hands on it and I took out the blusher brush, Yeah!

So this is how i do it my way.... lol (",)

** Addressing **
Since we are not in Sg most of the time... Mummy & Daddy felt that it is even more important for me to know, identify & master the names of my beloved families and relatives. So far i have mastered quite a few .... but more to come :-} I wish I could juz call Auntie and Uncle for all hehe... that will be so much easier (",) Oh oh.... and Gu Jie, no doubt i dun see u for quite a while now, but i have already mastered yr name keke!

~ Latest Activities ~

I never knew that my darling is ready to hold a colour pencil and start scribbling on a paper until one fine day when we were having dinner at Hyatt. The hotel Manager was so nice to pass some drawing paper with colour pencils to Rachel while we are having dinner. I was amazed by how these items could entertained her for at least 45 mins! She dun even spent so much time on her new toys =) So the next day, I rushed to Book Store to grab some mini drawing boards with one small box of crayons. Oh, I bought some colouring books as well since they are so cheap here... like less than $3 for most of them!! ^o^

Rachel's 1st Master piece without Mummy's help except the name, hehe!
Can't figure out what she is drawing though =p

Oh, I also noticed another easier way to teach Rachel words, is to draw them out. It is fun for me too, I get so excited when she could recognised the things i drew and said those words out loub, haha. Phew..!! a "passed" on my drawing (",)

This is the first word that Rachel can read "baby"... hmm, strange still wondering why this word though. Lately, she started to read the word "cat" but she din say it out this time but just do a "meow"

She was told to pick only 3 colours but guess she is going for all :-}
"Colouring in Process" - Teaching her to colour at this stage is the hardest i think. Practise make perfect... haha, hopefully she can colour within the line after many, many more practise.
"Rachel, u r supposed to colour the bottom pix! The top one is for u to follow -_-"

"Ai Xin Meal"

Ever since my darling turns one year old, I have been looking for new recipe to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for her. No more cereal and porridge.... she dislike it so much that every meal became a war zone for both of us. So... I have decided to create and come out with some interesting ideas in cooking her meal. Paying special attention in particular to the shapes and colours to interest her ^0^ So far, she is happy with it... lets hope that it will stay that way. Meanwhile, still cracking my head for more new recipes....

Star and Heart Shapes Pancakes for Breakfast

Fish and Tofu Corn Soup with Rice

Pan-fried Salmon, Minced Pork with Brocolli and Rice

Mashed Potato with Chicken, Egg and Spinach

Fried Egg, Salmon and Vegetables with Rice or Mashed Potato

~*~*~* My Pal "Apple" & Me ~*~*~*

Today, I went to Aunty Joey's place and sad to say that it is my last time seeing my pal, a cute little puppy that I had named "Apple". Still remember, when Apple was borned in May, I was barely walking myself and so is Apple. Every Tuesday I will make a trip to Aunty Joey's place to visit her. 2 months later, Apple started to move around and I was inspired by her so much that I wanted to take a few more steps to catch up with her too =)
Apple is 5 months old now. She had recently found herself a new owner cos' Aunty Joel already has 5 malteses and couldn't cope with so many puppies. I'm sure u will be happy with your new family. Farewell and hope to see you again one day my pal...!

...... Brushing My Teeth .......

Hee... I have been brushing my own teeth for the past two weeks now, with mummy guiding me at my side and keeps reminding me that it is not a "lolipop" haha!!
I can't help it... the toothpaste has a nice strawberry and banana taste to it.
Hmm... I'm still not very good at it though, so difficult just to reach some corners. Guess I will continue to practise every morning and nite =)

" A Female Future Pilot " ???

You won't believe how hard I've tried just to have those goggles on Rachel :> From young, she never allow us to put anything on her head, including hairclips or any accessories. But ever since she turned one, she seems to be slowly accepting it one by one... that's great! She spotted this goggles one day by chance when daddy was doing some crystal experiment with it, haha it was actually a safety goggles. Rachel seems to like it the very moment she saw it... so I tried putting it on her. As usual, she will shake her head real hard to get rid of it... only when i placed her in front of a mirror then she realised how cute she looks with it (^o^) Hmm.... so that's the trick i guess! Somehow, she looks like a pilot with it though, dun u think so? (",)

Discipline Starts Young (^^,)

It's amazing to watch how our little princess can respond to us nowadays! Ever since Rachel learns how to walk independently and afterwhich roaming around freely, we soon realised our next headache was to keep her from touching every other things beside her own toys =/
E.g touching the phone/computer wires, pulling out the table corners protector, flipping our books and tearing the pages, playing our mobile phone (calling 999 once), creating a mess with all her toys, pulling out every drawers she can find, pressing on remote control & change my fav channel, pressing buttons on our laptop, touching every single items found on the coffee table, running into the bathroom.... and it juz go on and on and on... (**,) And seriously, before I know it... I think I have already repeated "no no" to Rachel like 100 times or more per day, lol.
So I have to believe that Discipline should start at very young age =) We have to work together and turn this "terror" into "lovely princess" ('c')

So far, these are the things she absorbed from my nagging, hehe :
~ picking up toys and place it inside her toy box (only with my supervision :>)
~ saying "please" when she wanted something from us, especially food!
(hmm... need a little practice here cos' she is still saying "Peessss" haha but close enough lah)
~ giving the things she not suppose to touch back to us when told
~ obeying to our "no no" (after at least 3 times)
~ showing "Sorry" sign when mummy / daddy is angry with her
(at the moment, it looks like "salute" with her hand on her forehead =>)

Below are those that i'm still currently working on it, hopefully she can accept it soonest :
~ tidy up the books after reading
~ holding her own milk bottle
~ no screaming
~ no throwing things while throwing tantrums
~ no closing door & entering bathroom without our knowledge

Hmmm... that's it for now, will think harder for more, lol...
Oh... I caught a video of Cheeky Rachel below... repeating when i said "no no" and also to remind herself not to do any "illegal" stuffz hehe...

~ Romper with my special "Message" ~

For the first time, I felt that I bought something for Rachel that really comes in sooooo useful for her. Is a romper with these special wordings "Please Control Yourself, 'No' Cheek Pinching" haha... Yes, I'm talking about very useful here in CCU. It definitely helps alot especially when we bring her out to crowded places like shopping mall => I can still recall the very 1st time when we were out with her, most pple passing by will either touched or worst pinched her chubby cheeks ! Wasn't very ready for that during the 1st few times when it happens : { Outing with her soon becomes a nightmare, hoping it won't happen again. I must say that Daddy did a good job in protecting her... cos' he will make sure that nobody comes near or touches her, hahaha! I'm so glad that I bought this romper online many months back... at least it comes in very handy now (**,)

"Dance and Sing with Barney"

Check out my new dance move! Barney taught me that .... (^^,)

Delicious "HotCake" (^^,)

The last trip back to Singapore, Mummy took me to Macdonald once every week to have my fav delicious breakfast - "Hotcake". I do get bored of my usual breakfast sometime ... like cereal (oatmeal or mixed grains) with different types of Fruits. So once awhile, mummy will cook French Toast as well =)
Today is Mummy's 1st attempt in cooking this delicious hotcake for me! Hmm.... it tastes so good even though it might look like roti prata, hahaha! It goes very well with honey and strawberry jam too. Thank u Mummy (",)

My "Mid-Year Exam" (^_^)

What! Exam at this age?? haha... Nah, Mummy is just so curious whether i can still remember all those things i have picked up from "Baby Can Read DVD" so far. I have completed the whole series... hooray! I'm watching "Wheel of the Bus" and "Barney" now as a "school break" (",) Oh... I luv Barney... the purple Dinosaur with full of surprises and great songs!

Mummy is encouraging me to watch "Baby can Read" all over again after the break so that I can master all the others words as well =) Is a great VCD created for babies like us! Thanks to the Founder, Dr Titzer!

Luv, Rachel (",)

oh no.... i missed out "nose", "fingers" & "hands" hehe...

Rachel showing "Bao Bao" ...... haha! So cute, she actually bother to move the bib to show me her big tummy! Looks like she is really very full.... kekeke... i had a good laugh!

Playtime with "Mouse Mouse" aka Minnie

Rachel enjoys feeding Minnie with a milk bottle. But it kinda look like "stabbing" her instead haha!

Watch Rachel blow a kiss to Minnie... only one kiss at a time (",)

<<< Play Yard to Play Corner >>>

Check out my new Play Corner! I needed a lot more space cos' I love walking around and hate to be confined in that playmat size.
Thanks Daddy and Mummy! For coming up with this idea... (",) I luv it so much! Look at my little smile on my face, its incredibly spacious for me to roam around now, hehe!

"Say Cheese" .... (^o^)

Look! That's what I will get nowadays from Rachel when I pointed a camera at her and said "Smile" - her cheeky smile! Taking about softtoy, in addition to her friend - patrick star. I have decided to train this little Princess in hugging a soft toy in a proper manner. Looks like she can bond very well with Minnie Mouse. Oh, she called it "Mouse Mouse" though... cos' she gets a little confused with all the names. She has friends like Winnie (Pooh), Barney, Benny (our pet dog) and Minnie. Haha... all of them sound so similar to her (",)

~*~*~* Ponytail *~*~*~

So happy... manage to tie 2 little ponytails for Rachel today, haha! Have been waiting for this day for so long... cos' her hair was pretty short initially. Think is time to stock up nice hairbows and ribbons! Hmm... mostly will be handmade by me though since I have invested in lots of nice ribbons and clips from Korea G-market. Can't wait to create one soon for my little princess!

My Friend "Patrick"... ^_^

Introducing my new friend .... "Patrick Star", a good friend to "Spongebob"!
Mummy hesitated for awhile before buying it cos' she knows that it will probably end up in my mouth rather than me hugging it, hehe! But... in the end, Mummy gave in cos' its juz to cute to resist =) Look! I tried to entertain Mummy with a nice smile initially, pretending to hug it! Then, true enough, it ended up in my mouth.... hoho! .... and Oops! I was caught in the end as well...

My Little Library

Mummy went on a shopping spree again and this time it is for my own good! I woke up one morning so happy to find 15 more books to my collection. That's more Board Books for me now =)
As most of them are my favourite "Flip-the-Flap" type, I think it will keep me busy for awhile. Mummy also help to buy some books for my "May BB" Friends cos' books are really cheap here in India.
HAPPY READING EVERYONE (",)

*** My Crocs Disney Shoe ***

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!!!
We went shopping today at South City Mall and daddy bought me my first pair of Crocs shoe. Purple in colour with Mickey Mouse design on it (",)
I feel so much more comfortable and confident in walking when I put them on. Not only do my feet look good, the shoes are so light that it makes me feel like I'm walking on air, haha!

Princess's First Step , ' , ' , ' , ' , '

Today is the day we have been waiting for.... Rachel took her tiny 24 steps for the first time without any support! Omg... it's so cool to witness that. We managed to tape it down and shared with "Ye Ye and Ma Ma", "Gu Jie", "Sok Soks" and all the relatives and friends (",)

Little Note to Rachel:
"Princess, mummy and daddy are so proud of you! You are such a darling and you never fail to surprise us each time. Looking back the past 13 months, we had heard your first cry, saw you shaking your first rattle, making your first flip from tummy-time, watched you sitting up all by yourself, saw your first attempt in crawling and soon after walking with support. Amazingly, your first word is "Apple" cos' you said it most of the time haha! And not forgetting that you stood up for the first time by yourself on your first birthday! Mummy had recorded down all the dates of all the First Events! And today will be another date that I won't forget... 13th June, My darling "first step" in her journey (",) Well done...princess! We shall look forward to your first sentence, haha! "

Back to Base

Is time to fly back to CCU... can't wait to see daddy too! Tonite, as usual I'm taking a nite flight with mummy...

Look at my contented smile after so many parties that I had attended. Since I have been promoted to become a toddler, I guessed I should be sitting on my own now without Mummy helping me, hehe...! But daddy said I will get my own seat only when I'm 2 years old... which means another 11 more months to go... counting down =)

A big Kiss and Hug to Auntie Angela! Thanks for making this pretty hairband for me (",) I like it alot and surprisingly I was wearing it almost throughout the whole outing, guess is too pretty and comfy hee...
Mummy brought me to DownTown East today... it was so fun! I saw a huge playground but I'm too young to join in, maybe next time when i'm older... Janelle Jie Jie and Wendeline Jie Jie, please wait for me =)

Mummy's Favourite Dress

Mummy bought this denim dress for me during the Poney's Sales in Genting last year. It was up to 70% off and was one of those pretty dresses that caught her attn... But, so sad cos this was my first time wearing it and it fit me just nice, Oops! no more allowance for me to grow, oh no... Mummy picked up size 18th to 24th months... but didn't expect me to grow that fast. Maybe trimming off the short sleeves will help a little hehe.... hoping it could fit me for another 2 more months at least! Luv, Rachel...

May Babies Birthday Bash

Yeah! I'm so glad that "May Babies Birthday Bash" was a real Success after so many months of planning (",) It was held at Gymboree, HarbourFront. All the Mummies, Daddies and their lovely Babies enjoyed the whole event that evening. Such a nice feeling to be able to meet up with the rest of the mummies and babies in the May forum.
It was also the biggest gathering with around 30 babies playing in a big group... celebrating their birthday together in the month of May! Haha... tried very hard to remember their names though, instead of their nicknames normally used in forum. Luckily, Choc came out with an ideal of printing names on labels... so that it is easier to identify each other. Special thanks to Diana for booking the venue, Choc for printing labels, Doris for organising refreshments and the FC role, Jo for ordering the cupcakes and Von for organising the Baby awards!
Lastly, would like to congratz those babies who won the awards!

Some pix taken during the play time...

Cupcakes from Sweestest Moments.... with all the babies name on each of them

Have a break, Have a "baby Biscuit"...

Rachel definitely had enjoyed herself so much that day!
She even won the "Most Cheeky" and "Most Pretty" awards... Congratz Darling!!
Thanks to all those mummies who had voted for her (",)
